The results are listed in the accompanying chart, but briefly, the best average accuracy in the test rifle came with the Hornady 17-grain V-Max ammo. I'm looking to buy a new rifle in 17 HMR. I'm looking at the Tikka T1X and the CZ 457 (Varmint Pro Boyds stock,) or 457 synthetic suppressor ready. Boyds being about $50, I plan to on a rail and scope (4-16) most likely for paper and occasional squirrel/rabbit. If you own either or both, I'd like some of your feedback. Re: CZ 455 Varmint Review The major parts to whole platform. Switch calibers / barrels, you will have to go this far. Note the "extra" piece of formed metal that goes between the stock and the trigger guard. It is not only a dust cover or guide for the trigger, but actually a trigger adjustment tool that fits in that area. Pretty slick actually A modestly priced .22 with exceptional out-of-the-box accuracy is topped with the Leatherwood USMC 8x Sniper scope, making for one classy rimfire. The flat, wide base of the CZ 455 Varmint’s stock is well-proportioned to its heavy bull barrel, and it is handy for benchrest-style shooting. It was one of those mornings. LXeH.
