It's not opening that's the problem here, it's unlocking. The boot remains locked when they open the doors using the manual key blade. The only way you could potentially unlock it without central locking is to lay the rear seats flat , crawl into the boot, and then remove the plastic panel on the tailgate to physically access the lock and either put power to it or manually prize it open. The boot will lift up about one or two inches, But if you then remove these two plastic plugs loosen then by prying with flat head screwdriver then pull panel to remove completly: That panel unclips by gently pulling it towards the back seat and upwards in the air.
