Going through a 36-hour fast – or missing out on an entire day’s worth of calories by abstaining from eating for one and a half days -may sound extreme Lotsof people lose weight doing a 24 hour fast, particularly if they do it frequently. I’ve never done a fast longer than 48 hours, and I’ve only done that twice, where as a lost most of my weight was lost doing a 24 hour fat 3 times a week. chrism35mr • 5 yr. ago. How much did you lose doing it. I was thinking about doing it on weekends. howthis looks is like to me is: eat dinner one day, skip a day and eat breakfast on day three (then repeat eating dinner then next day to do another cycle). I think this might be better for getting people beyond OMAD, going straight to 48s felt different. I don't have extensive experience with it but think it has its place and is worth discussing. Afterabout a month of that I did a month of fasting on Wednesdays. After a month of that I fasted Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Since my fist and last meal are 7 am/pm it makes it a 36 hour fast. I did a 3 week extended fast between Thanksgiving and Christmas and currently day 12 of a 6 week fast. Basically you are doing a modified Alternate Day Almost20 pounds in two months while doing 23:1 most of the time (and going 16:8 on the weekends while still going out and having beers, etc.). Kind of incredible, wasn't that overweight to begin with so I thought it would go much slower. Bridgey6627. • 7 yr. ago. I do IF and follow keto. I lost 35 lbs in 3 months. 3. Not nearly as impressive as some of the transformations that we've seen, but hey, it's only been a month! Progress pics and graphs here, sorry for the bad lighting on the "after" frontal picture, it was Myrecent 85 hour dry fast, 110 hour fast. Fairly dramatic results : r/Dryfasting. My recent 85 hour dry fast, 110 hour fast. Fairly dramatic results. Let me know what you think! to people saying 24-36 is enough: NOPE, it depends. 🤣 The MEGA benefits and superpowers come way more after that sorry. If you want to do 24-36 it's fine ( I do 2436 Hours – Growth Hormone (HGH) Spike. Several studies have shown that fasting leads to a major increase in HGH (human growth hormone) levels. HGH is responsible for maintaining, building, and repairing healthy tissues in the brain, as it helps regulate body composition, fluid balance, muscle, and bone development.
